Margot Bogue

Margot Bogue has been making art ever since she was a little girl. Her father, an advertising executive, gave her the first drawing lessons she can remember. Growing up, Margot was always creating but never considered a career in art until a family member told her she should "do something" with her skills.  She received a BFA in Studio Art from Michigan State a few years later.

In need of a job, Margot turned to the business she understood - Advertising. She spent many years working as a graphic designer, first at Ad Agencies and later as a freelancer. After marriage, several moves around the country and two children, she returned to painting portraits by continuing her education at Northern Illinois University. Later, Margot studied with Annette Pate of Roswell, Georgia concentrating on landscape and still life. She currently paints in oil, drawing inspiration from the landscape and objects around her as well as portraits of people and animals that find their way to her studio (aka: Tiny Spare Bedroom).

Margot has been in juried shows throughout Georgia and Indiana and her paintings are in many private collections. She is a member of the CCA Gallery and the Hamilton County Artists’ Association and shows often in the Gallery at City Hall, Fishers, sponsored by the Fishers Arts Council. Her work can be seen on her website, in group and solo shows, and in the CCA Gallery in Carmel, IN.
