Elaine C. Wolfe is a multi-media artist native to Indiana, but she has lived in 5 states and traveled all over the world.  She sees beauty wherever she goes and her artworks convey that beauty to her patrons.  She has won prizes both locally and nationally.  She is a member of Indiana Artists Club; Hoosier Salon; Watercolor Society of Indiana; Southside Art League; Indiana Wildlife Artists; Hamilton County Artists Association; and the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields.  Her artworks are found in businesses, organizations, and private collections in Japan, Spain, England, Germany, Bermuda, and Canada, as well as the United States.  She is known for her landscapes, seascapes, wildlife portraiture, and European architecture.  Her artworks are in acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and original prints.  Her favorite quote is one from Cesare Pavese, who stated, “The richness of life lies in the memories we have forgotten.”  Artwork can return one to those memories by returning the viewer to a particular moment in time where the place, colors, atmosphere, and light all trigger those feelings of participation, regardless of how long ago the initial experience occurred.  Elaine strives to take her patrons back to those memorable times.  Elaine’s studio is located in Westfield, Indiana.  She has been one of the artist/owners of CCA Gallery since 1980.  She has a BS in biological sciences from Purdue; an MA in vertebrate zoology from UCLA; and an EdS and EdD in curriculum-instruction/school administration from IU.  Her formal art training was in PA, as well as IN.  She taught biology for 38 years before retiring and pursuing her art career full time.
