Felix Melchor
Originally from Hamler, a small town in NW Ohio, Felix resided in the Toledo, OH area for 35 years before moving to Carmel, IN in October 2019. Felix is a self-taught artist working primarily in watercolor paintings, pen & ink drawings or combined pen & ink and watercolor.
Felix started his art journey in 2015 and enjoys exploring different techniques and styles when creating his works. He finds that exploration allows him to create intuitively, share his vision and leave something behind. Felix also finds that creating art is a great form of escapism. He is most often inspired by nature, people, and cityscapes as subjects, but there is no limit nor boundaries in art, so on any given day…
Felix’s works have been displayed at a solo exhibition at American Frame Gallery in Maumee, OH; periodically at Fountain Square Brewery, Indianapolis; are currently displayed at CCA Gallery, Carmel, IN; are exclusively displayed at Brew House Coffee and Bake Shop, Maumee, OH; and his painting “Petrichor” was one of ten, selected from more than 1,500 entries, to be enlarged to storefront size and displayed at Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis as part of the SWISH event in March 2021. As of March 2022, the painting is still displayed at the airport.
