Mischa started her art journey on Chinese brush painting with rice paper and Chinese painting pigments during Covid period, after explored other art medium/techniques since 2012, such as oil painting, pencil sketches, watercolor painting, and pouring acrylic painting, etc.  Now she truly enjoys learning from all the great artists along the thousand years of Chinese brush painting history.   

Mischa graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008 with PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, where She had professional training on how to turn the art of Catalyst innovation design process into the science.  After many years of technical and non-technical experience, she started appreciating more that there is not such clear boundary between science and art.  She is often inspired by the great master pieces from both area and applies a balance of both in her career work, life and especially art work as well. Her favorite subjects to paint are landscapes and flowers. However, she has developed a love for living beings, such as birds, fish, etc.
