Shelley Feeney Painter

Shelley Feeney

Shelley lives in Fishers with her husband and three daughters. She teaches art at Fall Creek Junior High. Art has always been a big part of Shelley’s life. As a child, she enjoyed painting and drawing at a young age. Her high school art teacher fostered her creativity and inspired her to go into art education. She loves working with children and helping them discover what the arts have to offer.

Shelley captures the raw beauty of natural objects and landscapes from different perspectives. She exaggerates the use of color, light and texture through the layering of paint. These bold patterns and lines created by the impasto of the paint creates a visual movement that easily take you in and out of her paintings.

She majored in art education at Indiana University and received her master’s in education at Anderson University. Her main studio focus in college was printmaking. It was not until after college that she started painting in her spare time. Shelley continues to paint with her newly discovered techniques in her home studio.
