Tish Reed, Painter

Tish Reed
I see painting as a way for me to collaborate and listen in to the Creator Spirit. Through this collaboration I have learned to play, hold things loosely, be willing to let go and even turn the canvas upside down completely as I paint. I feel that this playfulness and joy shines through the work that we create together and trickles over into the way I live life onto the canvas, as well.
I love painting with acrylics because they are so forgiving and allow for this more intuitive style of painting and working in layers. I begin each painting with written prayer on the canvas and then start right in with no pre-conceived ideas of what may arrive. I consider each painting a special gift and I am a steward of helping it become what it wants to be.
